Balanced between electric guitar and acoustic archtop

The latest model from Adelaide’s Lauda Guitars workshop, the Bluehawk Thinline Archtop is the perfect guitar to deliver the rich warmth of a larger hollowbody and the airy acoustic qualities of a good archtop. It’s a detailed and dynamic instrument that delivers reliable performance at higher volumes.

Tuned towards jazz, blues and fusion, the Bluehawk Thinline Archtop has hardwood sustain blocks beneath the bridge and pickups (but not all the way from neck joint to base). It provides reliable performance at higher volumes.

The tone is full and punchy even on the higher frets and there is loads of sustain.

It’s the 16th fret neck joint (not 14th) that offers comfort and playability to the last fret – something not often found on this style of guitar!

The body is large enough to deliver extended low end and keep warmth right into the high notes, but the guitar is nicely balanced both sitting and standing.

Thinline archtop with Tasmanian blackwood bent sides, three piece laminated quartersawn set neck, solid carved top and two humbuckers.

The sustain blocks are solid wood and reside under the neck pickup and bridge pickup/bridge, not all the way from neck joint to base.

The process is started with CNC machining, yielding reliable results every time, but the neck shaping, detailing, fretwork and importantly setup is done carefully by hand.
